UCC through to Indoor IV semi-finals
UCC are through to the IUCA Indoor IV semi-finals after victory over Dublin University this morning. Wins over DKIT, DCU, IT Sligo and Dublin University were enough to secure a berth in the last four despite a loss against the hosts University of Ulster. The defending champions will now face IT Carlow in the semi-finals.
Outstanding performances from Junaid Amin and Mohammad Qassim were the catalysts for UCC and both players feature in the current ‘tournament dream team’ (a stats based performance measure). UCC also recorded the tournament record first innings score when they notched up 173 runs in just 10 overs against Dublin University, Qassim top scoring with 51*.
