New committee elected following Club AGM
The 2015 Annual General Meeting of UCC Cricket Club took place on Wednesday 4th March in the Students’ Centre. Following the adoption of the minutes of the 2014 AGM, the Captain, secretary, treasurer and PRO gave their annual reports. The club’s terrific performances at Intervarsity level were widely praised by all the committee members and special praise was reserved for Anthony O’Reilly and Junaid Amin who were selected to play for Ireland Universities. Plans for the coming outdoor season were discussed together with plans for attracting new members to the club during August Orientation Week.
Mohammad Ali Syed stepped down from his position as captain, as he will be leaving UCC in the summer. Shahrukh Nawaz was elected unopposed as the new captain. Faiq Gul, Kevin O’Sullivan and Danyal Siddiqui were all re-elected to their positions while V. Somasundaram joined the committee as secretary.
